Virginia Chalmers, LCSW

I began practicing social work in 1992. Since then, I have been honored to serve many different populations throughout San Diego County. I have helped connect elder adults to community resources, counseled female victims of domestic violence, children who have suffered abuse, and adolescents struggling with anxiety and depression. It has been a privilege to be a part of the TrueCare team for the past 5 years. During this time, I have partnered with TrueCare’s pediatricians and their young patients to help improve and maintain healthy emotional lifestyles. Currently, I am working in the Department of Mental Health Specialty. I am certified in EMDR therapy, which allows me to offer my patients an evidence-based treatment to help alleviate trauma. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two beautiful granddaughters and their spirited dachshund, Sid.
