TrueCare’s Puzzling Minds provides bilingual, trauma-informed support through educational workshops for North County San Diego middle schoolers. These age-appropriate workshops are held for one hour once a week for six weeks.

About 25% of adults in San Diego County have experienced severe childhood trauma, which has created critical and underfunded mental health needs. The Center for Disease Control has identified a crisis in youth mental health, with 68% of California students requiring but not receiving support. Additionally, suicide rates have increased by 57% since 2007.

The Puzzling Minds curriculum is designed to provide students with social and emotional skills to support mental health and well-being. Every contribution makes a difference.
