As a member of the community, she has the privilege of seeing her patients not just in the health center but also out in the world, at the grocery store or the post office. She recognizes the powerful impact of being part of the same community she serves, and this connection makes her work even more meaningful.
“The Hispanic population that is too often underserved truly speaks to my heart,” Dr. Carrio said. “Living in this community myself, I see my patients outside of the health center, and I love seeing them appreciate the care we provide. Seeing their health in their day-to-day lives reinforces how important the work we do is. That’s why I got into this field,” she said.
This is at the heart of our mission and why we do what we do, making TrueCare an integral part of the Oceanside fabric and not just a provider. Here, care extends beyond the health center’s walls to make it infinitely more meaningful.

As Dr. Carrio explained, “One of our great assets here at TrueCare is the ability to use mobile units to access the community in places that are hard to reach. We believe health care should be accessible to anyone who needs it, and providing that support is incredibly meaningful.”

Dr. Seawall has a passion for community health care and also pointed out the emphasis TrueCare places on physician retention and support, making it a great place for providers to stay long-term and feel valued.
