TrueCare is the proud recipient of the coveted IBCLC Care Award, a distinguished accolade bestowed by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® (IBLCE®) and the International Lactation Consultant Association® (ILCA®). This global recognition underscores TrueCare’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest levels of lactation care, setting the gold standard in the field.
The IBCLC Care Award identifies healthcare institutions that demonstrate a commitment to promoting, protecting, and supporting breastfeeding and the lactation consultant profession. Facilities earning Care Award status illustrate a committed to providing training for their staff that care for breastfeeding families. At TrueCare, breastfeeding support and lactation services for patients and staff have been a priority for several years!
Additionally, TrueCare is here to support nursing women throughout their entire breastfeeding journey. We have a team of lactation specialists in our Women’s Health Services, Pediatrics, and Women, Infants and Children (WIC) departments. Most importantly, they help moms and their babies successfully breastfeed. Together, TrueCare is proud to support parents in raising happy, healthy babies.
TrueCare also has been a trailblazer in becoming a breastfeeding-friendly health center for many years. We believe it’s important for the health of the community we serve. There’s a big gap in breastfeeding support and we are dedicated to closing that gap by recognizing the importance of skilled lactation support to improve breastfeeding rates. The benefits of human milk and breastfeeding are well documented to improve health outcomes and decrease health disparities. It’s preventive medicine!
