As a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Alissa Macias is a board-certified advanced practice nurse. Her professional role allows her to diagnose and treat medical conditions, prescribe medications, and manage the overall health care of her adult patients. Her clinical training focuses on a holistic approach to medicine to ensure that every TrueCare patient receives the personalized attention they deserve.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

I like to go running, hiking, boating, and beer tasting! I also like to read.

What kind of music do you like?

I like anything relaxing or calm such as classical music. I also enjoy alternative, Disney, and Christian music.

What is your favorite sports team?

The Dodgers without a doubt are my favorite team. I grew up going to games and really loved watching us win the 2020 World Series.

What was your favorite sport to play growing up?

I ran track in college for a year. I never did other organized sports – I was the nerd. I did enjoy water sports like tubing, wakeboarding, and knee boarding.

What do you do when you want to relax?

I like to read or sit outside and watch the birds and wildlife – sometimes even put up my hiking hammock in the backyard to do so. I also enjoy walking at Safari Park, hiking, and of course getting pedicures.
