Your Medi-Cal dental benefits are still available

You may have heard that some Medi-Cal members were expected to lose access to full dental benefits on July 1, 2026.

We have good news. The State of California has delayed this change.

This change applies to certain adults age 19 and older who do not qualify for federally funded full-scope Medi-Cal. If this change applies to you, you can continue using your full Medi-Cal dental benefits through June 30, 2027. Learn more about the changes to Medi-Cal here.

This means you still have time to get the dental care you need, including checkups, cleanings and other treatment while your benefits are available.

Do not wait to schedule care. Preventive and restorative dental visits can help protect your health and avoid more serious dental problems later.
