Funds raised will support access to affordable, high-quality health care
TrueCare, a nonprofit community health center serving North San Diego and South Riverside counties, hosted its annual ILLUMINATION Gala on April 18, 2026, at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, raising over $500,000 in support of affordable, accessible, and high-quality health care.
The evening brought together community leaders, sponsors, donors, and friends to celebrate this year’s theme, Bright Beautiful Lives, which highlighted the impact of compassionate care and the importance of ensuring individuals and families have access to the services they need to thrive.
“ILLUMINATION is a powerful example of what’s possible when a community comes together around a shared purpose,” said Michelle Gonzalez, CEO of TrueCare. “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and supported this year’s gala. Their generosity helps us continue expanding access to care and making a meaningful difference for the patients and communities we serve.”
Guests enjoyed signature cocktails, a gourmet seated dinner, and live music by San Diego-based singer-songwriter Jesus Gonzalez, along with a lively auction that contributed to the evening’s fundraising success.
During the event, TrueCare honored two extraordinary forces for good, the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos, a long-standing community partner committed to supporting local youth, and Dr. Emerito Posadas, one of TrueCare’s most trusted pediatricians and a champion for youth mental health.
Funds raised through the ILLUMINATION Gala will directly support TrueCare’s ongoing efforts to expand access to care for individuals and families in underserved communities. As demand for services continues to grow, these contributions play a critical role in reducing barriers and ensuring more people receive the care they need.
