Joanna Kingdon, MD

Dr. Joanna “Joie” Kingdon (she/her) was raised in Encinitas, California and has since lived in Northern California, Washington, DC, New Orleans, Barcelona, and Los Angeles. She graduated from UC Davis with majors in Economics and Spanish with a passion for learning how to aid migrant communities. After working for a short time in DC, she decided to pursue a career in medicine to further follow her passion. She obtained her MD at Tulane University where she discovered her love for pediatric medicine and a good cup of gumbo, and subsequently completed her residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles before moving back home.

She loves to travel the world and learn bits of different languages. She is excited to work at TrueCare because she loves learning from the patients and their families.
