Caring for and connecting with children is my passion. They deserve to be heard and it is my responsibility to do just that—by listening closely—without judgment—and by engaging them, oftentimes with humor and lightheartedness. The medical world can be intimidating and stressful. It is my goal at EVERY visit to ease that burden and equip my patients and their families with information to empower them on their road to health. And, whenever possible, I try to infuse some fun into visits because children want to be happy!

When I’m not having fun with my patients, I’m at home with my little girl and husband having dance parties, playing games, making up songs, walking our dogs, cooking together, and finding as many simple joys in life as possible.

Fun facts about me: I played with the US Women’s National Soccer Team and was 1995 Pac-10 Player of the Year. I also grew up in Encinitas and am so happy to work in my community.
