Wanda Freeman, PMHNP/FNP-BC
Wellness Service:
My name is, Wanda Freeman; and after moving from Michigan in 2016, I joined TrueCare. Psychology has always been my passion; and in 2001, I earned a B.A. in Psychology. I started my nursing career 2003 as a registered nurse, then as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2009. In 2017, I combined my passion for psychology with nursing, becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
My philosophy, unequivocally, is: every patient, every time. I strive to provide the best care possible, regardless of insurance, sexual preference, creed or color. We are all equally human beings and deserve the best care.
In 2018, I transferred from Adults to the Behavioral Health Department at TrueCare. My previous work in family health has significantly enriched my skills and perspective as a behavior health practitioner and the care I provide. I not only treat behavioral health, I educate, assess, screen and prevent major chronic health disorders that are outside the traditional scope of behavioral health, which is one of the contributing factors of my continued tenure at TrueCare. The second contributing factor to my tenure is, TrueCare’s family culture. I sincerely care about my patients and believe every patient deserves to be treated as I would family, with understanding, empathy, and compassion.
