Maria Chavez Santos, MD

I was born in Ecuador, and moved to New Jersey when I was 4 years old. I love being a physician because it challenges me to continue learning so that I can help my patients understand their own health and how we can work together to help them achieve a healthy lifestyle. I strive to empower my patients and create a close partnership through this emphasis on health education. I strongly believe in working with integrity, treating patients with respect by providing them with the best quality care, which is why I felt aligned with the values of TrueCare.

My personal and professional passions include nutrition/metabolic health and international medical mission trips. In my spare time, I love to run, travel, experiment with healthy cooking and baking, read, spend time with family and my dogs, and spend time in nature, preferably at the beach.
