Jacelis Bland, PMHNP
I started my career as a registered nurse and then went on to earn my MSN as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. As a wife and mother of two, I am family-oriented and that is the energy I bring to psychiatry.
I am passionate about what I do because mental health is the most important, but often overlooked component, of our health. Mental health is a growing issue in our country and in the world and I find purpose knowing that my work can provide relief and change someone’s outlook on life.
I come from an underserved community and knowing the importance of providing services to those that need it most motivates me every day. Working at TrueCare places me at the forefront of providing comprehensive, culturally competent care.
TrueCare is passionate about providing quality care to each and every individual they serve, which aligns with my philosophy. My treatment philosophy is the acknowledgement of each person’s individuality while providing compassionate care. We are all in this together and I approach each patient with the care I would provide a family member.
Fun Fact: I was born on a leap year!
