I was born in New York and raised in Irvine, California, deeply influenced by the rich cultural and religious traditions of India, where I spent over a year training as a classical vocalist. After completing medical school at UC San Diego and family medicine residency in Seattle, I returned to San Diego, where I live with my wife and our two children.

During my training, I served working-class patients and new immigrants who struggled navigating the healthcare system. Those experiences shaped my sense of dharma-a moral basis for choosing the right action-and inspired my commitment to serving the poor through medicine and political change.

Before joining TrueCare, I built programs for substance use treatment and refugee care at a community clinic in San Diego. Now as a lead physician at TrueCare San Marcos, I coordinate compassionate, well-resourced primary care services to support healthy and vibrant communities in San Diego and Riverside Counties.
