Deborah Taubman, PMHNP
I am a native of California and throughout my 28 year career as an NP, it has been a privilege to serve and collaborate with diverse populations and clinicians in a variety of practice settings. During my graduate education at University of Southern California and University of San Diego, I was afforded the opportunity to expand my clinical training mostly in community-based healthcare settings providing care to underserved populations across the lifespan, especially in behavioral health. As a result, I grew to appreciate the value-added benefits of working closely with diverse populations. I believe my greatest strength as a clinician is in recognizing the unique qualities and capabilities of the patient that will hopefully guide me to provide the most competent and compassionate care I can deliver; and when possible, to collaboratively empower the patient to learn how to provide the most appropriate and effective care for themselves.
In my free time, I love to travel and explore different cultures in more traditional and rural locations. In addition to my family, some of my primary interests include cooking, gardening, photography, multi-genre forms of music and theater.
