Despu\u00e9s de mudarme a Estados Unidos, obtuve un m\u00e1ster en Nutrici\u00f3n y luego me form\u00e9 en Psiquiatr\u00eda General y Psiquiatr\u00eda Infantil\/Adolescente en Phoenix, Arizona. Trabaj\u00e9 en varias cl\u00ednicas ambulatorias dirigidas a la poblaci\u00f3n desfavorecida y fui directora m\u00e9dica de una cl\u00ednica pedi\u00e1trica integrada de especialidades multiespecialidad. Adem\u00e1s de ayudar a los pacientes, tambi\u00e9n fui directora de pasant\u00eda para estudiantes de medicina y profesora cl\u00ednica asociada de psiquiatr\u00eda en la UA College of Medicine. Para m\u00ed, los pacientes son algo as\u00ed como estudiantes. La mejor atenci\u00f3n no solo proviene de tratar, sino tambi\u00e9n de educar a los pacientes sobre sus condiciones m\u00e9dicas y psiqui\u00e1tricas, lo cual est\u00e1 alineado con la misi\u00f3n de TrueCare de generar un cambio positivo en la atenci\u00f3n sanitaria.
