Despu\u00e9s de mudarme a los Estados Unidos, obtuve mi EM en Nutrici\u00f3n, y luego me entren\u00e9 en Psiquiatr\u00eda General y Psiquiatr\u00eda Infantil\/Adolescente en Phoenix, AZ. Trabaj\u00e9 en varias cl\u00ednicas ambulatorias que atend\u00edan a la poblaci\u00f3n desatendida y era el director m\u00e9dico de una cl\u00ednica pedi\u00e1trica integrada de m\u00faltiples especialidades. Adem\u00e1s de ayudar a los pacientes, tambi\u00e9n fui director de enfermer\u00eda para estudiantes de medicina y profesor asociado cl\u00ednico de psiquiatr\u00eda en la Facultad de Medicina de la UA. Para m\u00ed, los pacientes son algo as\u00ed como los estudiantes. La mejor atenci\u00f3n proviene no s\u00f3lo del tratamiento, sino tambi\u00e9n de la educaci\u00f3n de los pacientes sobre sus condiciones m\u00e9dicas y psiqui\u00e1tricas que se alinea con la misi\u00f3n de TrueCare en la creaci\u00f3n de un cambio positivo en la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica.
