TrueCare™ Now Offering COVID-19 Vaccines to Patients In North San Diego County

San Marcos, CA – February 8, 2021TrueCare™, a nonprofit health care provider in North San Diego and South Riverside Counties, is launching the new COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic starting on Monday, February 8. Due to vaccine supply and in alignment with the prioritization plan from the State, vaccines will first be available to TrueCare patients, who are age 65+, by appointment only. Eligible patients will receive a text or a phone call to get scheduled for both doses of the vaccine if they are interested.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic will be in operation Monday-Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in its QuickCare San Marcos location at 150 Valpreda Road, San Marcos, CA 92069. The COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic days of operation and appointment availability is subject to change based on vaccine availability.

After a successful series of vaccination clinics for TrueCare healthcare staff, resulting in over 370 staff on their way to being fully vaccinated, TrueCare received an allotment of vaccines to begin vaccinating its patients.

“We prioritized getting the COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic ready for our patients to ensure we are providing the best possible care for them,” said Michelle Gonzalez, president and CEO of TrueCare. “We are proud to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible TrueCare patients in order to do our part to fight the pandemic.”

Hussein Abuyousef, 76, was the first to receive the vaccine from TrueCare. He said he’s relieved he got the vaccine and would encourage others to get the vaccine as well.

“Increased access to vaccines is great news for the people of North San Diego County,” added Gonzalez. “Setting up our own vaccination site will allow us to create more equitable access for residents to slow the spread of the virus and to make sure the healthcare system is able to care for all patients.”

“Our TrueCare staff has been working non-stop to get this COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic up and running, while continuing to serve patients with the day-to-day operations at our 11 health center locations in North San Diego and Riverside counties,” said Dr. Marie Russell, TrueCare’s Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operations Officer (CMO/COO).

TrueCare will be modifying hours of the COVID-19 testing at QuickCare San Marcos, beginning Monday, February 8 to 8am-12pm, Monday-Friday, as a result of the new COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.
